Residents live in lovely neighborhoods and have easy access to popular theme parks, beaches, wonderful parks, great shopping, and fine restaurants. The lake and nearby trails offer residents opportunities for outdoor recreation, like hiking, biking, boating, canoeing, fishing, and nature hikes. Center Lake Park is the central community gathering place where residents can also enjoy special events like concerts, movie nights, food truck days, and holiday festivals.

Oviedo Brewing is a family-friendly microbrewery that has excellent food and brews. Their menu includes dishes for the table as well as brewing ingredients, which you can sample during an interactive tasting session. The Food Factory, Oviedo on the Park, is an indoor and open-air space featuring all the best local restaurants. This new dining experience was created by a group of passionate foodies who wanted people in Oviedo's downtown community to enjoy their favorite dishes in one convenient location.
Shopping in Oviedo is a wonderfully unique experience. One of the most popular local establishments is the Lukas Nursery & Butterfly Encounter. Not only does the nursery sell plants and everything you could possibly need for creating a beautiful garden or outdoor living space, but they also have a fantastic 4,000-square-foot bird and butterfly conservatory. Visitors can walk through and enjoy watching the birds and hand-feed the butterflies.
Oviedo also has many boutiques and specialty shops, which add to the wonderful small-town charm. The Oviedo Mall is an indoor shopping mall that has dozens of shops and eateries as well as a movie theater. The mall hosts many fun community events like a Food and Wine Stroll.

Oviedo is close to all of the fun and excitement that Central Florida has to offer. Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld are only 30 minutes away, and the east coast beaches are just over an hour away. Closer to home, the residents of Oviedo have fantastic parks and natural areas to enjoy. Oviedo on the Park (Center Lake Park) is the centerpiece and central gathering spot in town. This fantastic lakefront park offers playgrounds, a splash pad, a dog park, and a lakeside promenade. There’s also a marina, an amphitheater, and an outdoor stage. The park hosts many concerts and special events throughout the year, including Food Truck nights, holiday festivals, movie nights, and concerts.
Just a few miles from downtown is the Little Big Econ State Forest. The forest provides residents of Oviedo a fantastic natural setting for hiking, trail rides, canoeing, kayaking, biking, and nature walks. The Oviedo Aquatic Center is more than just a place to go for a swim. The facility is a state-of-the-art aquatic and fitness center that offers residents a full-court gymnasium, sports courts, a fitness center, a rock wall, playgrounds, an Olympic-sized pool, and a kids’ splash pad.
